Different Car Manufacturers in Different Countries


All over the world vehicles are being produced daily. The ten most prevalent manufacturers today are located around the world.


Fiat which is based in Italy is number 10 on this list. Fiat was originally founded in 1899 and is currently Italy’s largest vehicle maker. Although fiat is based in Italy, they do have production facilities in other countries as well, Brazil being the largest one of note. Average production of the Fiat range averages approximately two and a half million vehicles a year.


Suzuki which is based in Japan is number 9 on this list. Suzuki currently has over thirty five production facilities located in 23 different countries. Suzuki not only produces cars but also produces motorcycles to increase revenue.


Average turnover of cars by the company is estimated at 2.6 million units per year.


Hyundai-Kia based in South Korea comes in as number 8 on this list. While the manufacturer also had production facilities in India, the South Korean based plant is the second largest car manufacturer in the country boasting an annual average production of 3.3 million units.


PSA Peugeot from France is the 7th entry on our list. Peugeot is the second largest auto maker currently in Europe. With a production average of just over 3.3 million units the company is firmly seated in the top ten manufacturers.


Nissan based in Japan comes in at number six on the list and is one of the top three Asian car manufacturers. The company was originally founded in 1932 and has been voted among the best vehicles for fourteen straight years.


Honda from Japan is the fifth entry on our list. Along with being the fifth largest motor vehicle manufacturer it is also the world’s largest motorcycle manufacturer. Production averages for cars comes in at 3.9 million vehicles per year.


Ford from the United States comes in at number 4 on the list. The company was first formed in 1903. Normal passenger vehicle production is bolstered by the production of vans and non passenger vehicles making the overall production numbers a bit harder to calculate. With manufacturing plants in many different countries, most notably in Europe, the Ford motor company is running strong


Number 3 on the list is German carmaker Volkswagen. Included in their line are Volkswagen, Audi, seat, Skoda and Lamborghini. The overall production average for the entire group is approximately six and a half million units.


General Motors based in the United States comes in as number 2 on the list. Sporting the title of the United States largest auto maker, their line consists of Buick, Chevrolet, Cadillac, Oldsmobile, and Hummer.


The number one company on the list is Japanese car maker Toyota. Producing nearly 10 million units a year makes this company the largest car manufacturer in the world today.
